XMLTV is a standard for storing Electronic Program Guides (EPGs) in XML. It is used by applications that record and play back TV shows, such as MythTV on Linux, many others on Windows, and even - with some other third party hacks - Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition.
I'm using it to get a decent guide in Portugal for my TV Cabo satellite box hooked up to a PC running Microsoft MCE.
