Throughout learning to code with the RenderMan interface, I noticed a distinct lack of detailed information about the hacks and tricks that people REALLY use to write production ready visual effects supporting tools based on and around this technology.
delibrary is a collection of small projects written in C++ that were created by me at home whilst learning some of the more detailed aspects of developing complex RenderMan based tools.
It has been an attempt to further delve into the perhaps not so commonly tread waters of RenderMan and to give back some of this information to the community of new artists that I believe would rather spend their time building new tools upon the knowledge bases of others, rather than spending at eternity searching for information that they just might not find on the Internet, and hence spending valuable production time learning about things the hard way.
The aim is to save people time, and to provide enough of a foundation for other people to build much bigger and better things on top of.
