Qtdict retrieves information from various online dictionaries (e.g. dictionary.google.com, dict.sztaki.hu) to support translation. The central language used to be hungarian, but now many other languages are supported too. Qtdict is plug-in based, so it is dynamically expandable with new dictionary plug-ins. Work is ongoing to also support machine translation and language guessing via translate.google.com. The UI translation to english is also a goal. Qtdict is written in the C++ programming language using the Qt4 cross-platform rich application development framework.
