China is one of the mega-biodiversity country in the world. But these rich biological resource haven't been fully appreciated by scientists out of China. At the same time, we lack a unified and authorative species information system now. Funded by Diversitas, China Committee, this projcect is focus on building of multi-layer application works for China Higher plants species, which data will cover its scientific names, Chinese common names(vernacular), reference, morphological description, distribution and so on. This project is aims to build a standard reference system for Higher plants species names find in China, and as a backbone to support biodiversity informatics projects in China.
