Introduction

Since the term software engineering first appeared in the 1968 NATO software engineering conference, lots of efforts have been paid for transforming software construction from man-made arts to industry artifacts, which were announced productivity promotion. As to industry products, quality is one of top-level facets. To assure software quality, researchers tried disciplines, come from management, mathematics, physics, and presented technologies including standards, process management, formal specification, verification, testing and etc. With the mature of software industry, continuous service assurance, less concerned formerly, is now becoming an overwhelming facet. And accompanied with that is the metric - trustworthiness.

SoTrust 2010 is to bring together software scientists, industrial engineers, and researchers to discuss and exchange experimental and theoretical results, work-in-progress, case studies, and ideas in the area of software trustworthiness.
